Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
What is a Clothing Swap?
Simply put, a fun event where we trade cute clothes.
How does a Clothing Swap work?
We provide the space with racks full of curated clothes to get the swap started and good vibes. You buy an entry ticket, bring a bag of clothes to swap, and have fun finding new things!
All the clothes are community-donated, so it’s really an ecosystem you create. We’re just giving it the space to live!
What sizes will be there?
We make sure there are lots of chic and fun options for all sizes 0-14.
Do I have to bring a bag of clothes on the day of the event?
Yes. You can donate as much or as little as you want. We like to say bring-a-bag, take-a-bag, so the more you donate to the swap, the more you can take home.
Swappers use this as an opportunity to clean out their closet and finally get rid of that “donate” bag that’s been taking up room.
You can feel good about where your clothes are going, especially if you have a soft spot for them, but you will never find yourself wearing them.
How much are the clothes at the swap?
Free. The clothes are not individually priced. The only thing you pay for at the event is the entry ticket.
What kind of things can I find at the swap?
Really, a mix of everything from an evening dress to a graphic-t to a winter coat. We make sure there’s a variety– typically based on the season.
Will there be brand names?
Yes, we make sure of it– Anthropology, Madewell, JCrew, Sam Edelman, Gap, Zara, and more!
The event is three hours long. Will all the good stuff be gone after the first hour?
Nope! We’ll be feeding the racks with fresh inventory the whole time, so you can come when it starts or two hours in and still find brand names and quality items.
Can I try things on?
Yep, we have private changing rooms with mirrors. We ask that you rerack to keep the space neat for other swappers.
How many pieces can I take?
We like to say swap mindfully. This ISN’T sample-sale-in-Brooklyn-vibes. This IS brunch-shopping-in-a-cute-town-with-your-bestie vibes.
When we swap, we usually go home with a few pairs of shoes, a few accessories, and 5-10 new pieces– like dresses, jeans, shirts.
If you’re a visual person, we like to say bring-a-bag, take-a-bag.
Will there be parking?
Yes, Queen. There’s a big lot in with plenty of spots.
Will there be food?
Yep! Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
What are the vibes?
Fun, welcoming, friendly, creative, playful, confident, warm, and powerful.
Is it women-only?
All who identify as a woman are welcome!
Can I bring my kids?
In theory, yes, but this swap is not designed for children, so they may be bored. We are expanding to have childcare in the future!
Can I bring a friend?
YES. It’s the perfect vibe for besties.
Can I buy a ticket at the door?
Yes! Tickets can still be purchased online for $35 during the event for your convenience, or $35 cash-only at the door.
What happens to the clothes at the end of the event?
We carefully assess what’s left behind and pieces that may still have a chance to find a new home may get rolled into the next swap!
